REPAIR-EU Partner Supports Dairy Sector Decarbonisation in Spain

REPAIR-EU project partner Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de España recently participated in the event Innovation, Science and Sustainability in the Dairy Sector, organised by ODOS Tech in Valencia.

The event brought together cooperatives, researchers, technical experts and sustainability leaders working to shape the future of the dairy sector.

Representatives from Grupo Central Lechera Asturiana, Kaiku Sociedad Cooperativa and COVAP—members of the 30 by 30 Alliance—shared how dairy cooperatives are working to reduce emissions.

Naroa Sarasua from Kaiku highlighted that the initiative enables participating organisations to exchange experiences and accelerate joint action towards reducing their carbon footprints.

Supported by Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de España, the 30 by 30 Alliance aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030 through the European projects VISIONARY and REPAIR-EU. Covering Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, the initiative is pioneering in Spain and aligned with the work of leading cooperatives across Europe.
