New PhD candidate of Eindhoven University of Technology joining REPAIR

Newsha Bashirian joined REPAIR as a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry of Eindhoven University of Technology. She started her academic career path obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Engineering in her home city, Tehran. Then she followed a Master’s program in Chemical Engineering and Processes at Bologna University, Italy. Her Master’s thesis focused on “Evaluation of adsorption and desorption strategies for the recovery of volatile fatty acids adsorbed on anion exchange resin”.

After her studies, Newsha worked in Italy’s consulting sector, and later, her passion for Research led her to Belgium, where she carried out research, between the University of Ghent and Johnson & Johnson, where she gained hands-on experience in GMP laboratories of J&J.

Beyond her career, Newsha enjoys playing basketball, attending concerts, and exploring the world.
